As such, renewable energy has played a major role in legislation concerning environmental protection, lowering greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions, and the rural electrification campaign. The promulgation and implementation of China’s Renewable Energy Law (“RE Law”) signaled China’s renewable energy industry’s entry into a new stage of development.
