CIIA was invited to the US-China Economic & Trade Cooperation Forum, led by
led by Chainman Wu Bangguo of the National People's Congress of the People's
Republic of China to explore how to expand trade and investments. Chairman
Wu stated "Although no clear signs of world economic recovery have merged
and the long term impacts of the international financial crisis cannot be
overlooked, we can be confident about a bright future of China-US economic
cooperation and trade. I say this for the following three reasons: First the
general trend of China-US economic cooperation and trade will not change;
Second, the economic stimulus plans implemented by China and the United
States have created new business opportunities; and third, the economic
restructuring strategies of China and the United States will open up new
areas of cooperation."
At the signing ceremony, there are 41 contracts have been signed between US
and Chinese business entities, totaling 12.4 Billion USD investment.
