Founded in July 1988, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) is a self-discipline and nationwide trade organization, formed jointly and voluntarily by various economic organizations registered in accordance with law in the People's Republic of China and engaged in import and export of machinery & Electronic products and related activities. Now it has more than 6,500 members.

According to the provisions in Article 56, Chapter 9 of the Foreign Trade Law of the People’s Republic of China revised in 2004, the mission of the Chamber is to provide services in such fields as the production, marketing, information and training related to foreign trade, conduct coordination and self-discipline, propose the application for relevant foreign trade remedy measures, safeguard the interests of its member enterprises and the industry as a whole, reflect the suggestions related to foreign trade from its member enterprises to the government departments concerned and implement promotional campaigns of foreign trade.

In the past years, CCCME has always followed the guideline of serving its member enterprises and the cause of foreign trade and exercised its function of coordination and self-discipline so as to safeguard the interests of its members and relevant industry, act as a good staff and assistant to the government, help its members to explore the international market, bridge the government and the enterprises and promote the consistent and healthy development of the trade and investment of machinery & electronic products. Along with the speeding up of the economic globalization process, the foreign trade of China’s machinery & electronic products will definitely grow faster. CCCME will, based on its guideline of developing and strengthening CCCME through services, endeavor to expand its service ranges and improve its service quality so as to promote the sustained, fast and healthy development of the trade and investment of China’s machinery & electronic products.

中国机电产品进出口商会成立于1988年7月，是由在中华人民共和国境内依法注册、从事机电产品进出口贸易及相关活动的各种经济类型组织自愿联合成立的自律性、全国性行业组织，现有会员7000多家。

根据2004年修订的《中华人民共和国对外贸易法》第9章第56条规定，进出口商会的职责是提供与对外贸易有关的生产、营销、信息、培训等方面的服务，发挥协调和自律作用，依法提出有关对外贸易救济措施的申请，维护成员和行业的利益，向政府有关部门反映成员有关对外贸易的建议，开展对外贸易促进活动。

多年来，机电商会始终坚持服务于会员企业、服务于外经贸事业的指导思想，恪守公平、公正、公开的工作原则，在发挥协调和自律作用、维护成员和行业的利益、当好政府的参谋和助手、帮助企业拓展国际市场、发挥政府与企业之间的桥梁纽带作用、促进机电产品贸易与投资持续健康发展等方面发挥了积极作用。随着经济全球一体化进程的加快，中国机电产品对外贸易必将得到更大的发展。机电商会将始终坚持服务立会、服务兴会的方针，努力扩大服务范围，提高服务质量，积极推动中国机电产品对外贸易与投资的持续、快速、健康发展。
